My name is Nikki and I write Yorkshire Wonders, a family travel blog. I am mum to two children, my son, Master T aged 10 and my daughter, Miss H aged 8, and of course there is the lovely Mr Wonders. We live on the Yorkshire Wolds, near Pocklington, in a rural part of East Yorkshire about 12 miles from York.
On weekends and in the school holidays we like to get out and about as much as possible and want to share our adventures with you. I plan to review all the lovely places we visit in Yorkshire and the rest of the UK. We try and get abroad as much as possible and this year we are visiting and will be writing about London, Greece, Walt Disney World in Orlando, and Barcelona in Spain. We are also attending our first family friendly festival in Yorkshire and having a fabulous break at Butlin’s in Skegness. Hopefully I can introduce you to some places you haven’t been before.
Have at look at my reviews for the best family days out with the kids in Yorkshire, and the best family friendly holidays.
Work with Us
As you can probably tell, as a family we like to get involved. Whether that is a day out, family travel or trying out a new restaurant, we want to do it and tell everyone about it too!
We have been very lucky to work with some fantastic organisations and brands, such as SeaWorld, Butlin’s, Planet Hollywood, Ripley’s Believe it or Not, Visit York, Treetop Nets, NYMR, Energi Trampoline Park, Stockeld Park and the Yorkshire Museums Trust.
My blog is growing all the time and received almost 60,000 views in September. My current social media following is:
Yorkshire Wonders is currently number 67 on Trips100.
Prior to starting a family, I worked for ten years as an IT Consultant. I have an MA in English from the University of York.
Please contact me if you would like to know more or would like to speak to me about an opportunity that would fit in with my blog.

I am hoping to put affiliate links into my posts which (if you bought) would earn me a few pennies on the sale. It does not alter the price for you or cost you anything, but will hopefully help with running costs here. I say hopefully as I haven’t managed to earn anything yet, but we live in hope!
Also, I am lucky enough to be invited to places in order to review them. I’ll never fib and say the place was great if it wasn’t. Most of my reviews are positive though as I won’t say yes to anywhere I don’t think will be good ahead of time! I always say on the post if we were invited to review too. The opinions expressed are always my own.
