Yorkshire Wonders is a Finalist in the 2018 BiBs Awards!

On Friday I found out that I was a finalist in the Travel category of BiBs – this is the ‘Brilliance in Blogging’ awards run by BritMums.  Over 50,000 votes were cast in 11 categories.  Each category has 8 finalists and a winner will be announced on the 12th of October.

I am over the moon, really, really pleased by this!  As any of my long-suffering friends will tell you, I am completely obsessed by my blog.  I love writing about the days out we have and the trips we take.  I’ve always loved doing these things but writing about them and trying to get good photos gives an extra edge to my enjoyment.

We love to travel as much as we can (work and finances allowing!) and I always write about the places we have been.  Not just to encourage people to go there, but also if you are going, it’s great to get some advice from someone who has been already.  That way you can avoid some of the mistakes I have made on a first trip and can plan for the things you didn’t know about.  Plus, I like to read about other’s experiences, as part of the fun of planning a trip – so I hope my posts have the same effect for others.

As well as travelling, I also love exploring the places near where I live.  Living in Yorkshire there are so many beautiful and diverse places to visit from stately homes, to beaches, museums and theme parks.

The next stage of the awards is voting – and of course I’d love it if you voted for me.  I am in Category 9 – Travel.  It’s a very easy process, you pop in your name, email and then tick the check box next to Yorkshire Wonders.  Voting closes on the 21st of September so there isn’t long to vote (which is probably best for my nerves!).  You can vote here.  Thank you!

If I win, I may need to invest in a glass display cabinet for my trophy!
