Flame Tree BBQ
Without a doubt my favourite Counter Service Restaurants in Disney’s Animal Kingdom. When you can use your Counter Service credits on such fabulous dishes as ‘Ribs, Chicken and Pulled Pork Sampler’ ($20) and St Louis Rib Dinner ($19). It’s also worth knowing that French Fries with Pulled Pork and Cheese are a single snack credit. Two Samplers and two pulled pork fries will feed a family of four easily and is only two quick service credits and two snack credits.
You’ll find this restaurant over near the Dinosaur ride. You can bag yourself a 1/3lb Angus Bacon Cheeseburger or a Grilled Chicken BLT Sandwich here. The Chili-Cheese fries are also great and at one snack credit, I had these for my lunch and saved my counter service credit.
Yak and Yeti Local Food Café
This is another favourite of mine in Animal Kingdom when you fancy something different. I love the Honey Chicken and the Teriyaki Beef Bowl. You can also choose from Ginger Chicken Salad and and Asian Chicken Sandwich. The Chicken Fried Rice is tasty and a good size portion for a snack credit.
I visited the Satu’li Canteen on the very first day Pandora opened and was very impressed with the design of it. Booths inside almost divided by large wave like banks. Here you can try the Slow=Roasted Sliced Grilled Beef Bowl, Chili-Spiced Crispy Fried Tofu Bowl or Chopped Wood-Grilled Chicken Bowl. We also tried the fabulous looking Blueberry Cream Cheese Mousse for a snack credit.
If you are looking for a tasty pizza flatbread in Animal Kingdom this is the place to come. You can choose from Shrimp Flatbread, Cheeseburger Flatbread or the more traditional Pepperoni Flatbread. The Garlic knots are also recommended here and a great use of a snack credit.
