Sledmere House, near Driffield

Saturday the 29th of October

Sledmere House hosted a Musical Fireworks Spectacular last year for the first time. We visited and I can honestly say that the fireworks were the best I’d ever seen. They were choreographed to music and wherever you stood, it was a good view. They also had a fairground and food stalls, so take wellies and cash!

Back by popular demand! We’re excited to announce that we are holding our Musical Fireworks Spectacular on Saturday 29th October and our theme this year is the great Pop Icons and Divas. Working once again with The Fireworkers of Driffield its going to be a fantastic show to some pop classics that we all know and love. Refreshments will be served by our own Farm Shop and Cafe team and the Licensed bar by our fabulous local, The Triton Inn. Kaboom at Castle Howard

Saturday the 29th of October

Mr Wonders took our two to Kaboom in 2014 when I was ill with tonsillitis and couldn’t go! The children enjoyed it very much. Fab fireworks, a fairground and lots of food stalls. His only complaint was that there were not enough loos, but by all accounts they fixed this last year so all should be good! They also screen outdoor movies.

The KP in Pocklington are hosting fireworks also provided by the Fireworkers of Driffield, so it promises to be a good night.

York Maze Bonfire and Fireworks

We love the York Maze, but have never been to their Bonfire Night. Maybe it is time!

Reasonably priced bonfire and fireworks on West Green in Pocklington.

Dunnington Bonfire, Fireworks and Live Music

For the second year we will be doing a 5 minute quiet display once the bonfire has been lit followed by the main display later on in the evening. The Poppleton Centre Bonfire and Fireworks

Saturday November 5th, 5pm – 9pm

Bonfire, Fireworks and Hog Roast!

This year’s event will be even better than last with more fun, more ‘aaahs’ with not only a fantastic firework display and an enormous bonfire but the ever popular hog roast to feed the hungry crowds! We’ll also have on offer hot dogs, burgers and more, plus a bar and a live band to round off the evening. Tickets available on-line at and on sale in Poppleton at Cardland, Poppleton Post Office, The Co-op and from Café Refresh at the Poppleton Centre itself.

If you’re coming by car there’s a free car park at Wyevale Poppleton Garden Centre, just a 20 minute walk from the event, which will avoid any congestion in Poppleton.
All proceeds will go to local community groups and The Poppleton Centre. For more details visit

Jubilee Park, Fangfoss

We are having our Bonfire at the Park on Saturday 5th November. £5 per adult. £2.50 per child. Family ticket – £12. Food and refreshments are being sold. There is a bar too.
Gates open at 6pm. Fire lit at 6.30. Fireworks at 7pm.
There is a best lantern and best guy competition – why not make one over the half term holidays?
All profits go towards the upkeep of this beautiful park.
