Sri Lanka, The Family Friendly Island

Family Friendly Villas in Sri Lanka – we are often travelling and love to try different places.  Sri Lanka is a destination that has been on my bucket list for some time and has so many amazing landmarks.  A few years ago I visited Kerala in Southern India and loved it, I imagine Sri Lanka to be a cross between Kerala and a Maldivian island.  It’s famous for its tea production of course, but really has so many more attractions.  One of the reasons I am keen to visit is for the wildlife.  Uda Walawe National Park has herds of elephants, wild buffalo, sambar and spotted deer, and giant squirrel.  To the South of the island you can see blue whales, as well as fin whales, sperm whales and various species of dolphin.

A villa in Sri Lanka is an excellent choice for families to have more space and privacy.  Companies like Villa Finder are great for researching and finding a perfect villa for your family holiday.  All their villas are inspected to ensure they are of a high quality.  They are happy to arrange family friendly facilities like stocking the fridge, booking a dinner, planning a party or tour activities, with experts in planning a family holiday.

Sri Lanka has nearly 1600 km of palm fringed coastline and is a perfect place to enjoy relaxing on the beach with a cocktail while the kids build sandcastles or take part in windsurfing, kayaking, yachting, water skiing, or scuba diving.  When you are not soaking up the beach life you can be enjoying the fabulous cuisine of this spice island.  It’s commonly considered a ‘melting pot’ of different cuisines due to its location in the Indian Ocean.  Delicately flavoured curries with ingredients like coconut milk and spices like cinnamon, cardamom and nutmeg, make Sri Lanka a real gastronomic destination.
