Sapphire Nest Room at Domes Aulus Elounda, Crete – Review (ad)

We recently visited Domes Aulūs Elounda, Curio Collection by Hilton in Crete with Jet2Holidays.  We stayed in a sapphire nest room 408. The hotel is spread out upwards over a high hill.  Our room was quite low compared to the majority of the rooms, but we still had a magnificent view over the bay and the mountains beyond.  We have also reviewed the hotel in full here.

I have also created a video here:

The bathroom is to the right, immediately as you enter the room. There is a shower with a nice glass screen and lots of gorgeous smelling toiletries.

You will find shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, and body lotion.

There are lots of large and fluffy white towels as well as toothbrushes a loofah, razor shaving set, vanity set (earbuds, nail file and cotton pads) shower cap and sewing kit, a comb and tissues.

As you walk further into the room you will see a large super king bed. We had a twin room which was two 3 ft single beds pushed together to make a super king. Separate duvets though so that was nice.

Opposite the bed you will see a very large flat screen TV. There are not a great deal of English language channels other than the news. It is a smart TV so it might be that you can cast your smart device to it. However, I couldn’t work out how to do that but it could have been user error!  We were there on Eurovision night!

Further into the room there is a vanity desk with a mirror and plug points. There are several different USB ports in the room, perfect for charging all your devices.

There is a mini bar in the room, though this is payable. It’s handy to bring back drinks back from the bar though to keep cool.

There is also a coffee machine with all the usual tea and coffee making bits and pieces.

There is also a large wardrobe with shelves.  Here you will find your hairdryer, robes, iron and ironing board and the room safe.

Finally there is a large balcony with a nice bistro set. Perfect for an early morning coffee whilst looking at the beautiful view.
