We stayed at the fabulous adults-only, five-star all inclusive Domes Aulūs Elounda, Curio Collection by Hilton in a Sapphire Nest room in May and loved it so much that we returned in October to try out the Sapphire Zen Suite in the Cool Living section of the hotel. This section is part of a hotel-within-a-hotel concept, and access is exclusive for guests staying in Cool Living accommodation.
We have put a video review together here:

The whole hotel is wonderful and we have reviewed the rest of it here but this review is specifically about Greco Levante, the Cool Living section of the hotel. As a Cool Living guest you have an access all areas pass, which means that you can enjoy every aspect of the hotel. The star attraction being Greco Levante where you will find the exclusive pool, bar and restaurant complex.
Cool Living Pools at Domes Aulūs Elounda
So, firstly I am going to tell you about the standout star of the show – the swimming pools. There are two pools in the Cool Living area, both lined with the MOST comfortable sunbeds you have ever had the pleasure to lie on! They are so deep and comfy you won’t want to move!

If you think the above pool looks amazing (because it does!), just wait until you see the view beyond the infinity pool… (yes, that’s me in the pool!)

It’s even more amazing at dawn, just look at the reflection of the sky in the pool!:

There are lots of comfortable sunbeds around both pools and they are just as stunning as the sun goes down.

And late into the evening:

The pool also makes a perfect backdrop for a photo to share on your socials to make everyone green with envy (yes, that’s me again!)!

The Bar at Cool Living
The bar in the Cool Living area serves all the all inclusive drinks you could wish for.

There is also a very convenient Grab and Go fridge where you can quickly help yourself to water and soft drinks.

There is lots of comfortable seating in the bar for during the day and in the evening.
We very much enjoyed the entertainment here.

Here is the weekly entertainment programme during our visit.

Party Night in Agios Nikolaos
As a Cool Living guest you are invited to spend the evening in Agios Nikolaos with complimentary transport from the hotel, and the first cocktail included. We only stayed for two nights and didn’t want to leave the hotel, but I could see if you were there for a week this would be a great opportunity!

Getting Around the Resort
The resort is spread out over a steep hill, with the main hotel facilities at the bottom (including The Island Restaurant, Amphitheatre, Blu Bar, Pool, Spa and Gym – do read more about all of these in detail on my review of the rest of the hotel here.). The Cool Living section is right at the very top with the most magnificent views.
Getting around isn’t a problem though as there is regular shuttle bus scheduled:

You can also call reception to request transport too.
While I am discussing practicalities you might also be interested in what time everything was open (obviously this might change for your visit, but it gives you an idea).

The Griglia Restaurant
As well as the stunning pool, the Cool Living area also houses The Griglia Restaurant. Cool Living guests can eat their breakfast, lunch and dinner here (as well as the other restaurants in the hotel). Breakfast and lunch are served buffet style whereas dinner is à la carte table service.

I took lots (and lots) of food photos, so I will start with Dinner in The Griglia Restaurant as this was served to the table rather than being a buffet.
Dinner in the Griglia Restaurant
One of the nights we were there, we ate in The Griglia Restaurant for dinner, which was a lovely experience. I took photos of all the menus and will paste these at the end of the review, so do scroll down if you want a more detailed look at those.

We were brought olives with olive oil and balsamic vinegar to start:

And a basket of delicious bread:

Then, we tried out the tomato cream soup:

The beetroot salad which was a special dish with a huge slice of Feta cheese:

Followed by Grilled Beef Tagliata with Parmesan and baby rocket:

And slow cooked lamb:

We were so full, we just shared a dessert of (I think) lemon meringue pie.

Breakfast
Breakfast was magnificent and included everything you could ever want from hot items such as bacon, sausage and eggs:

Continental cold meat selection:

To fruit and salads:

Doughnuts and cakes:

Cereals:

Fruit juice:

And even Prosecco for your mimosa!

All manner of breads, jams and spreads:

Lunch
Lunch is a similar format, buffet style with lots of options, and definitely a cut above your normal lunch buffet! Look how beautifully presented it is:

And I helped myself to steak! Steak at a buffet!

Lots of seafood too:

Pizza and pasta:

Salads:

Desserts:

Cheese and grapes:

And of course, more Prosecco (though a full bar too, so whatever drink floats your boat!)

Daytime Snacks at Cool Living
Just in case three meals a day are not enough, you can also help yourself to snacks in the afternoon! There were a selection of sandwiches:

Lots of fresh fruit, with the biggest kiwis I have ever seen in my life!

More fruit:

Sweet treats:

A selection of ice creams and help yourself sauces and toppings:
