There is a dining table inside as well as a dining table on the balcony and lots of chairs. My favourite spot is the balcony where you can sit with a glass of wine and watch the sun set behind the mountains over the sea. (The below picture I took from our balcony – I have so many sunset pictures and they are all different!)

There is ample parking for two cars to the side of the villa.

In front of the villa there is more seating in a walled courtyard garden with raised beds of geraniums, lavender and roses. We also have two orange trees.

At the back of the villa there is a walled olive grove that we share with the adjoining villa (owned by my husband’s brother). We use the olives to make our own olive oil each year.

Stoupa Holidays – Villas in Stoupa

Stoupa itself is a lovely place. It’s not too big and feels very safe and family friendly. The bay is lined with welcoming tavernas and restaurants. I have reviewed a few here (it’s a hard job…!). The villa is a couple of minutes drive to the beach, or if you are feeling energetic it takes around ten minutes to walk down. Walking back up, especially after a few glasses of wine takes a bit longer!  The below view is taken from Bar 360 – definitely worth a visit before dinner!

This was taken at Pantazi beach – five minutes down the road from Stoupa in Agios Nikolaos.

There are lots of other pretty beaches to visit in the area or you could make a day of it and visit some local sights like Ancient Messene (amazing place and a must visit), or the Diros Caves. Other places of note including Gythio, Kalamata, Methoni, Sparta and Koroni.  The below picture was taken at Messene.
