To mark the 40th anniversary of the Christmas market, the City of Lincoln Council will open the 40th Lincoln Christmas Market at midday on Thursday 1 December. Live entertainment will feature on a brand-new stage for music, complete with dramatic lighting effects, to really kick the market off with some festive flair, before a traditional celebration begins at 6pm at Lincoln Cathedral.

The Haddon Hall Christmas Market is back for 2022. “Our Mercatum Winter Artisan Markets are hugely popular, so we are delighted to be able to hold them again this year and give our visitors and artisans the opportunity to come together here at Haddon to enjoy a little seasonal magic. In response to demand, we will hold this year’s market across three long weekends, Thursday to Sunday, in November and early December.
Visitors will have plenty of time to browse, shop and enjoy the wonderful range of food and gift choices available. Marquees will be located both outdoors, within the courtyard and on the Fountain and Bowling Green terraces of the gardens, and within some of the rooms of the Hall. As always, this promises to be a fun shopping experience and a great opportunity to find something a little out of the ordinary for family and friends.
We are delighted to welcome back some of our artisans who have joined us before, so if you are looking for that favourite find you have purchased here on a previous visit, then there is a good chance you will be able to find what you are looking for. But we are also excited to introduce many new makers for their first visit to Haddon, so you may well find yourself tempted to something new!”

According to Visit Manchester “Piccadilly Gardens will take a star turn this festive season, becoming the hub for Christmas in Manchester – the UK’s one and only capital of Christmas.
This year’s festivities will return with a bang from Saturday the 12th of November 2022 until Thursday the 22nd December 2022.
Manchester will showcase the family-friendly Winter Gardens attraction in the heart of the city as Piccadilly Gardens is transformed with yuletide bars offering locally brewed ales, food stalls, craft sellers and – for the first time – a stage with live music and DJs throughout the festive season.

Carlisle Christmas Market 2022

Carlisle city centre is set to be transformed into a festive winter wonderland this December with the launch of a new Christmas Market.
The market will feature over 40 Alpine style chalets and festive themed trading units selling a wide range of gifts, crafts, food and drink.
Shoppers can find everything from handmade Christmas decorations to fresh macaroons, and lots more. Hot, fresh food will be available, as well as speciality food and drink to take home. In amongst the smells and tastes of the food stalls are wonderfully presented craft and gift chalets, selling handmade trinkets and presents. Christmas favourites, such as mulled wine and cheese and stocking fillers, will also be available to buy.
