You know that feeling when you’re packing for a trip and your suitcase just doesn’t cooperate? Wobbly wheels, a sticky zip, and somehow the handle decides it’s on strike halfway through the airport. Well, after a few too many of those experiences, I decided enough was enough and tried the A2B hard-shell suitcase for my recent girls’ trip to Crete with my lovely friend Lisa.

I was particularly keen to get a new suitcase as it was a short trip of just four nights and as we were travelling with Jet2 from Leeds Bradford I wanted to try just travelling with a cabin bag rather than paying for a full check-in bag. The Jet2 cabin bag must be 56cm x 45cm x 25cm (and weigh no more than 20kg). The Sojourn 55cm Small Suitcase from A2B was a perfect size for this. Including the wheels and handle it measures 55cm x 36cm x 23cm.
First Impressions
Out of the box, the A2B looked sleek and surprisingly sophisticated for the price. I went for the fondant pink version – and very cute it is too! The shell feels sturdy but not overly heavy, and the telescopic handle extends smoothly with no wobble.

Packing Made Easy
Inside, it’s nicely designed. One side has a zip-up divider for clothes, the other has elasticated straps to keep everything tidy.

On the Move
We put the suitcase through its paces from Leeds Bradford Airport to Heraklion. The four spinner wheels are brilliant – it glides effortlessly, even when you’re dodging uneven pavements and the occasional stray cat (of which there are many in Crete!). The handle feels sturdy and adjusts easily.

Built to Last
After a few days of sunshine, airports, and sandy hotel rooms, the case still looks like new. The hard shell brushed off the usual scuffs, and the zips are satisfyingly solid. It feels built to handle many more adventures.

Final Thoughts
For the price, the A2B suitcase is a real gem. It’s smart, reliable, and easy to manoeuvre – everything you want in holiday luggage. Whether you’re off on a family trip or a girls’ getaway like ours, it’s a case that works hard without fuss. I’ll definitely be taking it on my next adventure!
