Sam Olgar Hairdressers
9 Bridge St, York YO1 6DD
Sam Olgar Hairdressers is situated pretty centrally on the corner of Bridge Street and Skeldergate. They have a good Instagram following with a LOT of before and after pictures for inspiration. Some seriously beautiful photos on there. It’s a lovely salon with friendly and experienced stylists.

Ross Charles Hairdressers York
82 Gillygate, York YO31 7EQ
The Ross Charles Hairdressing salon on Gillygate, has won many hairdressing awards including as a regional semi-finalist for this year’s L’Oreal Colour Trophy and the L’Oreal Men’s Image awards. I visited the salon for a cut and highlights and was made very welcome in the friendly salon and was very pleased with the results.

Femmes Fatales Hairdressers in York
35 Fossgate, York YO1 9TF
Femmes Fatales has long been a favourite of mine. They do beauty treatments as well as hairdressing. I would always recommend the owner, Val for a facial or massage!
Saks, York
9A Davygate, York YO1 8QR
Saks is a well known brand of course. I have visited the one in York on a few occasions and always got a great cut and good service. It’s just above Accessorize on Davygate, and accessed by a side door, so easily missed.

Another big name hairdressers, Toni and Guy, who offer dry styling, cuts, colours and treatments.
