When JDWilliams contacted me recently to offer me the chance to review a lovely Autumn/Winter outfit I jumped at the chance. I’ll be honest I rarely shop for myself these days and usually spend all my money on the children so it was quite decadent to browse all the lovely things on their website for myself. It took me a long time to choose, but in the end I went for a fabulous coat from Joe Browns. I’ve always loved Joe Browns and on the JDWilliams site they have sizes from 12 to 32. So nice to see some stylish plus sizes!
There is a band at the back that nips the coat in at the waist – my photo does not really do the shape of the coat justice, it gives me a nice hourglass shape. As you can see it buttons to one side, but there are buttons underneath too that you button up first for extra protection against the cold.
I think the floral lining is a fabulous touch!
There is a fur collar that comes around at a jaunty angle. It’s quite close fitting so no need for a scarf in winter.
There are two different styles of buttons which again I think is a lovely touch. You can get a feel for the colours and the herringbone pattern in this photo too.
I also ordered these glorious boots. Now, I have very wide feet so went for the EEE fit. Next, you can choose from 5 calf widths from standard to extra curvy plus. The sizes are all on the website and also depend on what foot size you are.
You can see here that I have gone for a wide calf.
The boots have great grips which is ideal for me as I am prone to slipping on ice. The heel is nice and low too. There is a zip on both sides and two decorative buckles.
I think I have chosen a perfect winter outfit that will keep me cosy for a few years! It’s definitely worth a look (and they do some great sales too!)
