This post was written for Yorkshire Wonders by Teresa Buckle who has reviewed for us before (see her Cirque du Soleil and Magical Lantern posts). It’s not a sponsored post – she wrote it because she had such a great experience with this company and wanted everyone to know!
Getting to the shops to choose that oh so perfect gift can be difficult at the best of times, never mind when you have the children in tow. Last Christmas I found the perfect solution to the problem and I never left the sofa (well a neighbour’s sofa actually!) – Yorkshire’s Finest Hampers.
Great Gifts
I was invited to an evening at a neighbour’s home. We had a wonderful time with a glass or two of wine and by the end of the evening I had ordered all of my Christmas gifts in one go including little teachers’ gifts and a couple of treats for myself.

Yorkshire’s Finest Hampers
Yorkshire’s Finest Hampers are an independent family run business. Ben and Louise Hirst presented the guests with a selection of delicious food and drink to taste all of which had been locally produced. It was brilliant to be able to sample the produce – something you don’t often get the chance to do. Many of the lovingly chosen items were award winners and I could see why. The quality of the products was excellent. By buying Yorkshire hampers for my family and friends not only had I not had to step inside a shop but I had supported local businesses by doing so.

Tasting Parties
I would highly recommend you hold a tasting party, it was so much fun. A selection of hampers are available to browse to give you an idea of content and presentation and Louise is there to help and offer suggestions. If you are choosing for someone with a sweet tooth then a hamper can be put together for them. Mother’s Day hampers are a popular gift idea, or a gluten free selection. You could even just give Yorkshire’s Finest Hampers a budget and let them use their expertise to put something wonderful together. You can choose your presentation as well. Hamper trays or even the hessian bags look great and you can have bows and ribbons in your choice of colour. Nothing is too much trouble for this friendly and helpful company who really take a pride in what they do.
One of my favourite gifts was a wooden crate of beer. It’s a lovely rustic crate which has an iron bottle opener attached to the side. Inside a selection of different beers or ales for that difficult to buy for man in your life.
