I’ve been thinking about getting a greenhouse, but big glass ones are so expensive, I wanted to make sure I would get enough use out of one first, so this very affordable walk-in greenhouse from Von Haus was a perfect way of testing the water! Last year I visited a flower farm that specialised in growing the most amazing sweet peas.
After that, I was hooked and decided to try and grow the same at home. I have two large posser tubs that I am planning to place on either side of the back door with metal obelisks to grow the sweet peas up. I like the idea of the scent of them wafting into the house!
It was very easy to assemble. The hardest part was tidying the area where the greenhouse was to go (as you can see!). It’s quite light, so plan to secure it to the ground if you are in a windier spot like us!

This is after lots of hard work:
I am also planning to grow tomatoes. I love making homemade pizza, and nothing beats a sauce made from homegrown tomatoes. I have ordered a packet of San Marzano seeds, which are perfect for sauce. I am hoping to grow several plants in the greenhouse so as to have lots of tomatoes to make sauce which I am hoping to freeze and then have a supply in until next year.

I’ve also ordered various herbs and chili seeds in to go in my sauce. (Can you tell I am excited about this!).
Fingers crossed to lots of sweet peas and tomatoes this year!
We were sent the greenhouse to review – as always all opinions expressed are my own.
