Eat Out to Help Out in York – the basic premise is that you will receive a 50% discount, up to a maximum of £10 per person, per visit on all food and non-alcoholic drinks. Every Monday-Wednesday throughout August! Do check individual websites for details and you’ll probably need to book ahead of time. Let me know if there is somewhere you know that is taking part but I have missed out!
Have a look at my reviews of the restaurants included too.
The Old House
We had a cracking steak here just before lockdown and I can’t wait to go back. They are not open on Monday/Tuesdays so get your booking in for Wednesdays in August!
Slug and Lettuce
Slug and Lettuce are adverting ‘50% off in July – why wait until August?’. So I am not sure whether they are running the promotion in August too – but think they probably will be! (If you find out, let me know!).
Fancy Hanks, York – American Good Mood Food
Fancy Hanks is another favourite of mine and a great opportunity to try if you haven’t yet.
The Cut and Craft
Lucia Wine Bar and Restaurant
Lucia has recently undergone a £500,000 refurbishment in January 2020. It’s a large Italian restaurant and wine bar in the centre of York close to The Minster. They have lots of floor space including an outdoor heated courtyard.
The Vintage Inns main website carries the ‘Eat Out to Help Out’ logo, and our three local inns are participating. There are two in York and one in Stamford Bridge.
