Backyard Cinema brings Christmas back with a bang this year with two magic experiences guaranteed to fill you with Christmas Cheer.
After having Christmas cancelled on us last year, the UK’s leading experiential cinema is determined to spread the joy, vowing to make 2021 the biggest cinematic Christmas yet with magical worlds, festive treats, nostalgia and all the mulled wine and mince pies that anyone could ask for.
Watch all your favourite heart -warming Winter films and Christmas classics in either of BYC’s two immersive seasonal get-aways: The Winter Night Garden or The Snow Kingdom. Expect brand new sets, expanded storylines, adorable creatures, magical artefacts and a whole host of peculiar, hilarious and outrageous characters with actors returning to the sets to guide you along your way.
Take a magical expedition to an enchanted forest at The Winter Night Garden, you will be whisked away by the Backyard Heritage Trust who will escort you on an adventure starting at the Winter Manor, an ancient stately home, then journey through a mystical wardrobe, where you’ll discover the gateway to the enchanted forest. Expect a few surprises before cosying up in the stunning overgrown theatre, a forgotten realm to watch your favourite film.
For trepid explorers – The Snow Kingdom will involve a medieval adventure in search of a secret castle. First, gather supplies from Dr Portelli’s magical shop, crammed full of the fantastical before uncovering the secret doorway into the fabled Snow Kingdom. Do not be fooled by the Kingdom’s tranquil beauty, you will battle icy and cold conditions, encounter characters like never before, from potion sellers to talking portraits until you find the entrance to the castle through the centre of a spellbinding waterfall. Relax and enjoy your chosen film inside the walls of the bewitching medieval building.
