Mr Wonders has been eagerly anticipating getting these new bar stools since before the kitchen was finished!
Mr Wonders says: “They arrived in a reasonably compact box, which made me slightly suspicious that I would face a 3 hour assembly time. Turns out not, phew. 4 small bolts & washers per stool was all that was needed to screw the seat onto its frame. Yes, a suitable Allen key was included for this. This then could just be sat and pushed into place on the base. Job done.
So, in just a few minutes they were ready for me to take my rightful place in the kitchen :-)”
They are made from a short grey velvety fabric with a heavy silver base and foot rest. They have been a massive hit with all the family. Our eldest teen often sits there to eat his tea and do his homework, while the youngest makes a mess with baking or craft projects!
They are also loved by the cats (which isn’t a good thing as they get fur everywhere!).
They are very smart and really help the island become a focal point and a usable family space. We often take it in turns cooking and whoever is not on duty can sit and chat to the one who is, over a glass of white wine. The bar stools have really made the kitchen a more social place (and they are very stylish!).
