Akrogiali is situated at the very end of Stoupa beach near to Pefko. It’s high enough up to have a stunning view along the beach road as well as out to sea with the purple shadowed mountains of the opposite peninsula.
Cosy Wood Burner in Winter
In the colder months Akrogiali have a large wood burner right in the middle of the inside part of the restaurant which is deliciously welcoming when the outside temperature is less than balmy.
Delicious Belly Pork
I ordered the belly pork with chips – delish!
Chicken Souvlaki wrapped in Bacon
While Mr Wonders went for the chicken souvlaki wrapped in bacon.
Akrogiali do a fabulous breakfast
We have often visited Akrogiali for lunch too, not to mention they do a truly excellent breakfast. I would recommend the pastitsio here for lunch or the spaghetti Bolognese.
After our meal, we were brought complimentary plates of fresh fruit and honey balls (matron). These are light drops of sweet batter fried and served with honey or Greek yoghurt.
