Are you looking for the best spa days in Yorkshire? There are some fabulous spa hotels in Yorkshire, many I have been lucky enough to visit. I have separated my list into four sections; spa days North Yorkshire, South Yorkshire, West Yorkshire and spa days in East Yorkshire.
What I found was that the majority of luxury spa hotels in Yorkshire are in North Yorkshire, with West Yorkshire a close second.
Many of the spa hotels mentioned do spa breaks as well as spa days, so look at each hotels website for special offers and deals.
Spa Days in North Yorkshire
Sakura Spa at Gisborough Hall, North Yorkshire

Sakura Spa at Gisborough Hall is a beautiful spot for a relaxing spa day on the edge of the North York Moors. Set within the grounds of this elegant country house hotel, it offers a peaceful escape with a woodland spa garden, vitality pool, Finnish sauna, herbal sauna, salt steam room and refreshing cold plunge (brr!).
There is a lovely choice of treatments, including massages, facials and the signature Sakura Head Spa experience. You can also enjoy lunch at Koyo, making it easy to spend a whole day relaxing and recharging.

Nàdarra Spa at The Coniston Hotel, Skipton

If you’re looking for a little luxury surrounded by the beautiful Yorkshire Dales, Nàdarra Spa at The Coniston Hotel Country Estate & Spa is well worth adding to your list. Set beside a lake with stunning countryside views, it’s a wonderful place to escape for a few hours of relaxation.
The spa has an impressive range of facilities, including a 15-metre indoor swimming pool, saunas, a steam room, an indoor bubble pool and two outdoor infinity pools where you can soak up the scenery. There are also relaxing treatments available, along with private garden baths for something a little more special.
When it’s time to refuel, head to Blossom Kitchen for spa dining, making it easy to turn your visit into a full day of pampering. You can also combine your spa experience with an overnight stay at the hotel.

The Sanctuary at Saltmoore, North Yorkshire

If you are looking for a luxurious spa day on the Yorkshire coast, The Sanctuary at Saltmoore is well worth adding to your list. This beautiful spa is set within peaceful surroundings near Whitby, making it a lovely place to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life and enjoy a little pampering.
The facilities include a heated indoor swimming pool overlooking the gardens, a bubbling spa pool, sauna and steam room, plus a relaxing lounge where you can sit back and unwind. There is also an ice bath and a cryotherapy chamber for those who fancy trying something a little different!
A range of treatments is available, including facials and body therapies from Wildsmith Skin and Germaine de Capuccini. You can also enjoy a light lunch or smoothie in the Wellness Café, which is a lovely way to round off your spa experience.

Swinton Country Club and Spa North Yorkshire

For luxury spa breaks in Yorkshire, it does not come any better than the Swinton Country Club and Spa. It boasts an 18 metre indoor pool, hydrotherapy pool, a classic steam room and aroma steam room as well as a Finnish sauna. There is also the below stunning outdoor natural pool and cedar hot tub.
It’s definitely one of my favourite, if not my favourite spa in Yorkshire!

There are a lovely relaxed treatment rooms as well as a relaxation rooms at No.1 York. We visited recently and tried out their ‘Lessen your Stress’ pamper ritual.

Rockliffe Hall, on the North Yorkshire/County Durham Border

We recently stayed at the fabulous Rockliffe Hall and had a great session in their spa. They have a large swimming pool as well as a large hydro-therapy pool that is available to day spa guests and hotel guests alike. However, they also have an exclusive ‘Spa Garden’ that even the hotel guests need to pay separately for. This has an outdoor, heated infinity pool, outdoor hot tub and a large sauna with a fabulous glass wall that gives a fantastic view of the grounds beyond. There are heated loungers as well as a relaxation area.

Feversham Arms and Verbena Spa North Yorkshire

The Verbena Spa at the Feversham Arms has to be one of my favourite Yorkshire spas. They have an outdoor swimming pool and hot tub, a heat experience area with aromatherapy room and steam room etc. They also have the most luscious relaxation area, with huge squishy sofas where you can sit and relax post-pamper. The hotel itself is lovely and if you turn your spa day into a spa break then I would very much recommend it. They do a splendid afternoon tea too! If you sign up to their email list they email special monthly offers and deals, so that is worth doing. Ideal luxury spa breaks Yorkshire.

Rudding Park Spa North Yorkshire

The Spa at Rudding Park has fairly recently opened. They have a beautifully serene looking indoor pool, juniper log sauna, spectacular looking steam room, foot spas, an outdoor roof terrace pool and a very modern looking state-of-the-art relaxation room with huge screen (presumably show calming scenes rather than Moana for example!).
From their website: A privately owned luxury hotel, Rudding Park has 90 bedrooms, a spa, two restaurants and a kitchen garden, private cinema, two golf courses and conference and events space. Set in 300 acres of landscaped gardens and woodland, Rudding Park is one of the most beautiful Harrogate hotels.
Aldwark Manor, North Yorkshire
Aldwark Manor has a lovely little spa that I have visited many times over the years. In more recent times it has felt in need of modernisation, being a little dated. However, the hotel has recently been sold and a multi million pound refurbishment plan is in place to bring the hotel and spa back to its former glory – watch this space for a review after the changes!

The Grand, York Hotel and Spa

I have visited the spa at The Grand, York a few times in the past and always enjoy it. They have recently had a major refurb, but I have not had chance to visit as yet! The facilities include a good sized pool, large jacuzzi, steam room and sauna.
There is also a nice relaxation room with four beds and magazines to read. A full menu of treatments are available in the treatment rooms.

Spa breaks Yorkshire – Titanic Spa does spa breaks as well as spa days. Here you will find their Titanic Heat & Ice Experience, Club Titanic, Salt Regulated Swimming Pool, Hydrozone, Poolside Sauna and Steam Room, Outdoor Hot Tub and Relaxation Lounge.
We visited recently and was really impressed by the size and scale of Titanic Spa. It’s large with lots of good quality experiences. A perfect spa to visit as a group or for a hen weekend.

Thorpe Park Hotel and Spa, Leeds, West Yorkshire
Thorpe Park Hotel and Spa is located just off the M1 on the York side of Leeds. It has an excellent spa with large swimming pool, jacuzzi, sauna and steam. There is lots of seating both inside and out around the pool and the relaxation room is excellent. Don’t be put off by the hotel exterior, it’s definitely worth a visit.
