Recording all our Holiday Memories

I’ve always like travelling and especially since having the kids making memories and preserving those memories has become more important than ever.

We love to visit Greece and we stay in the Peloponnese on the mainland. There are some fabulous places to visit from there. For example, we’ve had day trips to the caves of Diros on the southern tip of the Mani peninsula. We’ve also spent a day at Ancient Messine – beautiful ancient ruins.

Of course you can’t visit Greece without visiting one of their beautiful beaches!  There is an amazing beach at Limeni with some incredible restaurants around the bay.  You can sit and eat, watching the giant turtles swimming by.  Don’t forget to save some of your bread from dinner for the seabirds that visit too.

Another place we visited in the past with the kids is Orlando in Florida. Now you will know that Orlando is famous for Walt Disney World and Universal Studios. There’s so much to see and do there and so much for the kids to do it different times of their lives.

We visited when they were five and seven and they loved the characters and the shows as well as the smaller rides. We visited again 3 years later and there were no longer interested in the characters. It was more about the rides. I’m so glad we went when they were younger so that we could experience all the different characters and preserving photos and videos of those characters is a wonderful memory.

I like to use video editing software like Vistacreate video maker to edit these videos because otherwise you don’t tend to watch them back if they’re too long or or too irrelevant. This way you get all the best bits all in one video.

The kids grow so quickly. You really must capture as much as possible now because you can’t do it later and you’ll regret it if you don’t.

Also don’t only take videos when you’re on holiday. Take videos on days out or even just on the school run they are memories that you just can’t get back. It always amazes me how quickly they grow from one year to another. How different they’re look in year five to year six , for example and how different they look just from one summer to another.

You will also find that you captured different hobbies and different facial expressions that you just forget that they ever had because you’re so immersed in the now. I love to look back on all photos and videos remembering all the wonderful things we did as well as how young the children were.

I like to make a montage video around New Year’s Eve of all the fun stuff we did that year.  Then we sit and watch all the previous years on New Year’s Day, remembering the wonderful times we have had!

They will also be amazing footage to show at their weddings!
