Cyclefest at Sledmere House – Win a Family Ticket with Experience Freedom

We live in a beautiful part of the world here in Yorkshire and we love our family days out.  The kids love cycling but we don’t tend to get them on their bikes as much as we should so I was happy to see that Cyclefest is coming to Sledmere House near Driffield this year.  We love it at Sledmere House and have visited many times over the years (they have great kids events during the holidays – so do check their website).

Don’t miss the competition to win a family ticket at the bottom of this post!

On the 27th of May (the first weekend in the half term – it’s a bank holiday too) Cyclefest comes to Sledmere.  It’s part of the Caravan and Motorhome Club National – their biggest outdoor event of the year.  You can either take part in the whole weekend or just for the day.  Experience Freedom offer accommodation and experiences that allows people to get closer to nature and unwind in style and comfort in some of the most beautiful locations in the UK.  Over the weekend there is regular camping, glamping, yurts and even motorhome hire.

Cyclefest entry also allows you access to the National hosted by the Caravan and Motorhome Club where you will find fun family shows both day and night, craft areas and competitions, street food, stalls and traders.  Cyclefest is hosted on the Sunday. Other activities on the day include Segways in the ‘Have a go’ area and a Garden Party to celebrate the Royal Wedding.  Day visitor tickets available on the Saturday, Sunday and Monday. Adults £5 and under 18’s are free.

Register and you could win a 6-night holiday. By entering any one of the CycleFest rides, you’ll automatically be entered into the competition to win a six-night holiday in the Loire region of France worth £4,000! The prize is for two adults and two children on the holiday, courtesy of Belle France.

There are two main events on the Cyclefest day, for family cycling, there is the eight mile family fun ride and 58 / 89 Km Sportive routes (which I think means a really long bike race for very serious people!).  Sledmere House have a lovely playground area for the kids too.

It’s a brilliant opportunity to get yourself and the family out into the fresh air to do something different from the normal routine.  Now to the competition!
