Eden Hall Day Spa, is situated in a gorgeous Victorian Gothic mansion house in Elston Village near Newark in Nottinghamshire. They have recently teamed up with the acclaimed Australian skincare brand Grown Alchemist for a unique Summer Spa Garden Takeover running from the 1st of May until the 30th of September 2025.
The Spa Garden at Eden Hall
The spa garden is absolutely magnificent! We were very lucky and visited on a glorious summer’s day, the weather really couldn’t have been more perfect! It is surrounded with raised beds of scented lavender and standard bay trees.
The central feature is, of course, the outdoor swimming pool. I don’t know what temperature it is heated to but I would hazard a guess at the high 30’s. It was akin to a hot tub temperature, so even if you don’t get as lucky with the weather as we did, you can still enjoy an outdoor swim.
There is a stylish sauna in this area, as well as a fire pit to sit around on cooler days.
And lots of comfortable seating.
Grown Alchemist Pop-up Treatment Area
As well as the main treatment area, you will find, in a corner of the spa garden the Grown Alchemist pop-up treatment area.
This is ideal if you haven’t booked any treatments ahead of time, or simply fancy a cheeky additional treatment! There was a chalk board with available times for these treatments:
You could choose from one of three 25 minute treatments for just £30 as you can see below.
I didn’t try the popup courtyard space but I did try the Grown Alchemist Urban De-Stress Massage – 60 mins of pure luxury! There is so much going on at Eden Hall, but you must try and squeeze in a treatment during your day too!
Outdoor Space at Eden Hall
The outdoor space at Eden Hall is huge, as well as the spa garden there is a great deal of stylish outdoor seating to while away an hour with a book or magazine.
Exercise Class Timetable
During your day you can choose to take part in various classes, such as yoga, ballet or meditation. I have included the activity timetable that was available on the day we visited below. We took the meditation class which was lovely and relaxing!
I also snapped a picture of the archery area.
Outdoor Hot Tubs
There are two large outdoor hot tubs, which we didn’t find too busy. You can see in the below picture to the right that the indoor pool area has a little extension where you can swim through to the outside.
Indoor Vitality Pool Area
There are more recliners around the large indoor pool. I didn’t get a photo of this as it was a little more awkward taking photos of the indoor pool! You can see the layout of the pool on the photo of the spa map below.
Thermal Spa Suite
The Thermal Spa Suite was a fabulous space, with lots of different experience rooms. I couldn’t take my camera in here sadly, but my favourite was the Rose Inspired Steam Room! I also like the Salt Inhalation Room. I could have spent all day in the thermal spa!
Relaxation Rooms
There are also several relaxation style rooms to make the most of including the Reflect and Relax room, next to the outdoor sauna:
There is a post-treatment relaxation room in the conservatory (hot on a summer’s day though!):
We also had a rest in the Slumber Lounge after our meditation class.
Vinery Restaurant
One of the first things we did at Eden Hall was have breakfast in the Vinery restaurant. It’s a lovely light and airy space.
I took a photo of the Vinery Menu so that you can see what they offer and get an idea of prices.
Taste of Eden Restaurant
Our spa day included a three course meal in the Taste of Eden restaurant. Sometimes I find spa food a little spartan or ‘hair shirt’ this was so far removed from the reality of Taste of Eden! There were plenty of choices of decadent food, served beautifully with plentiful portions – not a hair shirt in sight! You can see the menu we had for our three course meal here:
We were brought bread and oil to start:
We tried the Smoked Salmon and Chive Tartlet:
The Chicken Caesar Salad:
Followed by the Teriyaki Glazed Salmon:
Slow-cooked belly pork:
Finally, for dessert we tried the gorgeous ‘Eden Mess’!
And this simply stunning Iced Mango Parfait! How beautiful was this?!
The Conservatory
The Conservatory is a casual drinks and dining area with an attached rooftop terrace.
We didn’t try it here but it looked very comfortable!
To sum up, Eden Hall is a simply fabulous day spa. Quite frankly, you need a week, never mind a day to make the most of everything it offers! If you haven’t been, then absolutely get it on your spa day bucket list!
We were invited to visit Eden Hall for the purposes of this review. As always, all opinions expressed are my own.
