Book a sumptuous High Tea at The stunning Clouds cafe, or enjoy a delicious meal made from locally sourced ingredients at the Spinnaker Kitchen and Bar. Then stroll up to the ‘Sky Garden’ and climb higher than you’ve ever been before!

If you’re looking for a thrill, why not take your adventure to the next level and abseil down the side of the tower? Or go all out and get married in this unique venue?

Exciting Escapes

Portsmouth’s top-rated escape room, Exciting Escapes, offers one of the most unique experiences in the city. With 60 minutes on the clock, you and your date have to uncover clues, solve challenging puzzles and beat the room at its own game.

It’s a place where you can live out all your detective fantasies and where the rule book gets thrown out the window! There is no room for awkward conversation, just pure unfiltered fun! You and your partner will discover not only the secrets of the game but more about each other.

Step back in time through the decades from the art deco Peaky Blinders-Esque showdown in Dark Deeds and Groceries to unearthing dark secrets in the 1980s based The Voices We Hear.

Do you think you both have what it takes to beat the game?

Southsea Castle

Henry VIII walked the embattlements of Southsea Castle nearly 500 years ago. There you can relive some of history’s most poignant moments, from the sinking of the Mary Rose to envisioning what it was like to hold off a French attack.

But the romantic in you might be searching for a bit more. So why not sit back, enjoy the atmosphere and enjoy some quality fizz at the Champagne Bar. Then get your groove on and enjoy some great tunes from live DJs in the courtyard.

The Mary Rose

Complete the story and visit the exquisite Mary Rose Museum. Nestled in the fabulous Portsmouth Historic Dockyard, you can get lost in the remarkable story of Henry VIIIs prize ship, The Mary Rose.

Part of the UK’s biggest ever marine archaeological salvage operation, she was uncovered during the 1980s. As the nation watched, her hull was raised to the surface after sinking to the bottom of the Solent nearly 500 years ago.

Together with your partner, discover this remarkable vessel’s secrets, uncover the fascinating stories of the crew that perished and try your hand at pulling a long bow!

HMS Victory

Visit the golden age of British naval history and step onto the deck of HMS Victory. She is the last of her kind. Throughout her service, she saw the victory and death of Lord Nelson during the Battle of Trafalgar. And she took part in the Napoleonic Wars and the American Revolution.

But the Victory’s journey didn’t end there. Today you can see history come alive as you walk around this great ship. Take in the sights, smells and sounds and imagine what life was like during the peak of the 1800s. You can even stand in the exact spot where Nelson breathed his last.

Perfect for glorious sunny days, a visit to HMS Victory is well worth it. Shaded by her formidable mast, with the breeze lifting off the harbour, capture some picture-perfect moments with your loved one!

Explore the Isle of Wight

Did you know that you can reach the Isle of Wight by sea within 22 minutes? While there, you can visit the iconic Needles, dip your toes in the warm sandy beaches and wander through breathtaking scenery.

On route, you will sail by some of the Navy’s formidable warships and get a breath of fresh air as you make it out onto the Solent.

The Isle of Wight is a fantastic place to make lasting memories. You can visit the endearing Wildheart Animal Sanctuary, rock out at the mesmerising Isle of Wight Festival and sample fresh cuisine from one of the many outstanding eateries. With so much to see and do, you can really make the most of the sun, sea and waves!

Gunwharf Quays

Lying in the shadow of the Spinnaker Tower, you’ll discover the vibrant shopping destination Gunwharf Quays. With its boutique feels and an explosion of culinary delights, you’ll find plenty of inspiration to fuel your day.

With a range of restaurants overlooking the harbour, you can take in a glorious sunset as you drink in one of the many bars or tuck into a delicious meal.

There you will find an eclectic assortment of all the big brand names you know and love, and some lesser known but brilliant independents.

Why not enjoy a date night at the 14-screen multiplex cinema? Challenge your partner to a game at the state-of-the-art bowling alley, or hit the jackpot at the casino? With special events throughout the summer months, live music events and more, there is plenty to keep you and your loved one entertained this summer at Gunwharf Quays.
