Child Friendly Lunch at Planet Hollywood London

On the day we visited Ripley’s Believe it or Not, we had lunch at Planet Hollywood, London.  It’s about a two minute walk round the corner so a perfect pairing.  (Check the deals on the Ripley’s ticket page too as they do a special ‘Ripley’s ticket plus Planet Hollywood or Bubba Gump’s meal’ promotion that is excellent value.

Planet Hollywood London – Spiderman

On our way we were accosted by the Planet Hollywood Spiderman on the corner giving out promotional leaflets and thought we’d make the most of the photo opportunity!

Hand Prints and Signatures

The restaurant is large and comfortable with Hollywood themed items all around.  Make sure you head up the stairs to the mezzanine level to see the wall of hand prints and signatures.  The children enjoyed placing their hands over the hand prints and comparing.

Large Screens

Downstairs where the booths and tables are, there are screens dotted around.  These range from large to huge!  They screened lots of snippets of interviews and promoted up and coming films, cartoons and music.

Family Friendly Restaurant

We were keen to visit as I had read that for the last three years running, Planet Hollywood had been named as the no.1 child friendly restaurant in London by Bookatable

Fabulous Food

The food was fabulous and I have been sat here drooling over the photos I took that day!  We started the meal off with buffalo chicken wings – they were spicy and delicious!

Mr Wonders went for the popcorn shrimp, which the children also loved (top tip, order the spicy wings and then you don’t need to share with the kids!).

Master T predictably went for the burger, and you can see it came with a mountain of fries.

Miss H chose fish and chips.

Mr Wonders (like father like son) chose the BBQ Bacon Cheeseburger and was impressed when this arrived:

I love steak and enjoyed this Prime Sirloin steak.  I so wish this was in front of me right now!

Hand-Dipped Milkshakes

Here is Master T with his hand-dipped milkshake (what does hand-dipped mean?).  Our server was fabulous with the kids and when he asked for a white chocolate milkshake suggested he go for an Oreo and white chocolate mix, which he enthusiastically agreed to (twice!).

Great Attitude Towards Kids

When Mr Wonders burger arrived, it had a little ‘Planet Hollywood’ flag in it, that Miss H instantly wanted.  Our server noticed this and reappeared in a few minutes with several more.  I loved this!  The attention to detail and friendliness of the staff was great.  They have a great attitude towards kids which was fantastic to see.
