Feel Good January at the Cookhouse and Pub Restaurant Bridlington

At the weekend we visited the Cookhouse and Pub in Bridlington. It’s right on the seashore with views over the sea itself and attached to a Premier Inn. There is plenty of easy and reasonably -priced parking around the Cookhouse and Pub and the staff are unfailingly helpful and friendly.

Cookhouse and Pub Bridlington Review

The Cookhouse and Pub in Bridlington is a large, family friendly restaurant and pub. The decoration is modern, stylish and comfortable and the prices are very reasonable.  During the day from Monday to Friday there is a cracking deal on for two main meals for £9.99.  Ideal for during the school holidays.

The interior of the pub is modern and cosy with mixed tables and booths.  There are large windows that overlook the beer garden and sea.  We were given children’s menus that doubled as a colouring and puzzles sheet as well as crayons.   We were also handed the main menu and the drinks menu.  We have visited a couple of times before and always enjoy it here.  This weekend we were reviewing the new ‘Feel Good January’ menu.

Miss H ordered from the kids menu and chose the meatballs.

We shared the rest of the starters between us and went for Smothered Chicken Bites:

Chicken wings with a BBQ dip (delish!):

And a baked Camembert with rosemary and honey.  The honey worked so well – I am definitely going to try that at home!

We then moved on to main courses. I went for the Beef and Doom Bar pie.  They also do a Vegan Fake and Ale Pie too!Cookhouse and pub Bridlington

Mr W chose the Mixed Grill, and I have to admit to having food envy!  He said it was excellent, all good quality and nothing overcooked like sometimes happens.

Master T chose The Ultimate Burger (he ate everything except the coleslaw).

Miss H invariably orders pasta and didn’t change this time.  She went for penne with a tomato sauce from the kids menu.

For dessert (it is Feel Good January after all) Miss H chose the cheesecake.  She didn’t want the berry compote so they offered to drizzle it with caramel sauce!

Master T and I both chose the Chocolate and Caramel Sundae with Cadbury Nibbles – it was lovely!  I completely recommend The Freeman Cookhouse and Pub in Bridlington.  It has a lovely atmosphere, is just a few minutes walk from the Leisure Pool, Amusements and Bridlington Spa.  They have some fantastic bargain midweek deals too.  It’s a fab family friendly place.

As we have been a couple of times now, I thought it would be helpful for you to see food photos from previous trips too.  The menu changes seasonally so things may or may not be still available, but I think it’s definitely worth having a look at!
