Butlin’s Premium Dining Skegness – Review

We had the Butlin’s Premium Dining included in our Butlin’s Skegness break and it was great.  Mealtimes were so easy!  There are two premium restaurants, The Yacht Club and The Deck.  We tried both restaurants for dinner and breakfast.  Both are all-you-can-eat buffet style restaurants which my children love.  They love helping themselves to whatever they want and they like trying new things.  Miss H loves fish and tried all the fish dishes including smoked kippers and smoked haddock (she like the haddock but not the kippers).  Both make me shudder!

Scroll down to the bottom to see all the photos I took of the Premium Dining buffet for both breakfast and dinner.

The Deck and The Yacht Club at Butlin’s

I found The Deck had more choice than The Yacht Club, but The Yacht Club was a much nicer environment – comfier chairs and nicer ambience.  Both have pros and cons though, so try them both and decide which you prefer.  The Deck does have a pancake station at breakfast, so don’t miss out on that (Tip: you can sit in The Yacht Club but sneak through to The Deck for pancakes!).

Unlimited soft drinks are included in the Premium Dining Package, and these include tea, coffee, fizzy drinks and juice.  The kids loved fetching more drinks (which was good for me!)

From the Butlin’s website:

For breakfast, we offer a splendid range of choice. Treat yourself to one of our famous Butlin’s cooked breakfasts, omelettes or pancakes. If you’d prefer lighter and healthier choices help yourself to our breads, rolls, morning pastries, cereals, yoghurts and fresh fruit.

Evenings bring an exciting array of options for soups, salad bar, mains and desserts. Choose from cooked on the day, succulent and seasoned roasted meats, with all the accompaniments and trimmings or opt for family favourites like Cottage or Fish Pies, Battered Cod or Plaice, Minted Lamb or Vegetable Hot Pots all found in the The Yacht Club.

Alternatively, visit our Live Cooking Stations in The Deck, where international cuisine is delivered sizzling hot straight from the Grill and the Italian Pasta stations. We also have Italian inspired Tortellini and Ravioli dishes, or Szechuan Beef with noodles, as well as, Taste of India and Tex-Mex nights where you’ll find dishes like our Indian Curries with all the accompaniments (poppadoms, naans and chutneys/pickles).

Finally, complete your evening meal from a mouth-watering array of hot or cold desserts, and don’t forget to visit our unlimited Ice-Cream Factory, always a favourite with children.
