This is a lovely visit to do if you are in York for the day. Learn all about the history of chocolate in York and make your own chocolate bars. Lots of chocolate tasting throughout the tour to keep the kids amused.

Eureka! Children’s Museum, Halifax

1st – 24th April 2017

Eureka, the National Children’s Museum has a ‘Medieval Mayhem’ themed activity on over Easter.  A fantasy/adventure theme with knights & princesses, dragons, jesters and jousting!

Beningbrough Hall, York

14th-17th April 2017

Easter Weekend with Cadbury.  Hop to it and follow the trail for your very own Cadbury chocolate bunny prize, plus egg and spoon races, decorate an egg competition and a chance to meet the Easter Bunny.

The event is free with normal admission.

Eggstraordinary Easter Weekend.  Celebrating Easter and the beginning of Spring with craft activities including an egg decorating competition, a special Easter treasure hunt, meeting the newest arrivals from the Farm and learning all about the farming calendar in Hampton Paddock. Piglets Adventure Farm Park, York

Easter Eggstravaganza 8th – 23rd April 2017

Ooh, it sounds like Piglets have been busy over the winter! They are introducing a new Bale Play Barn with a straw bale mountain, giant drop slide and junior tractor drivers’ area.  Easter Eggstravaganza – With egg-citing activities, cute baby animals and lots of family fun, there’s plenty to see and do this Easter.

Burton Agnes Hall, Burton Agnes

Easter Trail 8th – 23rd April 2017

Children are invited to take part in an Easter trail around the magnificent grounds of the Hall, solving clues while exploring the extensive gardens. Once the conundrum has been solved, every child will receive an Easter treat.
 
There are puzzles to solve and games to play, while in the craft tent children can get creative with colouring. Excitingly, there is a giant golden egg to find, which the Easter Bunny has hidden somewhere in the grounds!

Enjoy Easter at the garden with lots of activities from stories and Easter crafts to amazing birds of prey demonstrations, plus the delicious Lindt Bunny trail!  Over the Easter weekend Easter Bunny will be hopping in for a visit and we’ll also be joined by some special Easter babies.

The Easter Adventure 8th-24th April 2017

Stockeld Park is one of my favourite places all year round. There will be a roller rink as well as the Enchanted Forest and the Maze. The Indoor play area will also be in place to let the kids play while you have a cuppa.

The World of James Herriot

I’m including this one as it’s somewhere I have always wanted to visit but never quite managed. Lots of Herriot related memorabilia, as well as the restored 1940’s house, and a ‘farrier’s workshop’.  I am secretly hoping Miss H will become a vet one day!
